Iced Shaken Espresso Recipes

As the temperature rises and summer days grow longer, there's nothing quite like a refreshing iced beverage to keep you cool and energized. We haven’t had that many days of heat here in Switzerland yet this year, but the iced coffee season is well and truly upon us since like May.

Enter the iced shaken espresso—a delightful twist on your classic coffee that combines the rich, bold flavor of espresso with a light, frothy texture. We know who came up with it first, I just wanted to offer a few alternatives that might tickle your fancy with other milks, other sweeteners, other flavours.

I am obsessed with a cold foam and I had to try some to top these drinks. You can of course mix and match, swap the flavours as you like (I’m sure caramel or chocolate would work wonderfully here, I just figured they would be too cliché) and really make the drinks your own. After all, this is kind of the point of it all.

Make sure to have plenty of ice on hand as you need some both for the shaken espresso and to serve your drink. I hope this levels up your mornings in the comfort of your own home. Don’t hesitate to let me know if you try them!
